IVLP Africa Regional: Workforce and Business Development: Pathways for Youth

A group of 13 professionals from Cote d’Ivoire (2), Ghana, Guinea, Mali, Namibia (2), Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sudan, Zimbabwe (2) along with three liaisons will be in Kalamazoo through the State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).

Kalamazoo is a short stop on their 20+ day trip in the United States.

Their time here will focus on workforce exploration and development for youth, including trades, apprenticeships, cooperative education, mentoring, and internships, as well as how youth workforce development programs impact the greater community. Best practices and policy and funding for workforce development programs for youth will also be explored.
